ANNEX U.K. GUIDELINES TO BE TAKEN INTO ACCOUNT FOR THE PURPOSE OF THE RISK-BASED ANIMAL HEALTH SURVEILLANCE SCHEMES PROVIDED FOR IN ARTICLE 10(1) OF DIRECTIVE 2006/88/EC

4. Frequency of inspections U.K.

Part B of Annex III to Directive 2006/88/EC sets out recommended frequencies for inspections of farms and mollusc farming areas. Those frequencies are determined by two factors:

(a)

the health status of the concerned Member State, zone or compartment in relation to non-exotic diseases listed in Part II of Annex IV to that Directive (listed non-exotic diseases);

(b)

the risk level of the farm or mollusc farming area in relation to the contracting and spreading of diseases.
