ANNEX IICONDITIONS TO BE SATISFIED BY THE SEED

1.

The seeds shall have sufficient varietal identity and vavietal purity.

2.

Diseases and harmful organisms which reduce the usefulness of the seed shall be at the lowest possible level.

3.

The seeds shall also satisfy the following conditions:

    Additional requirements

    1. (i)

      legume seed shall not be contaminated by the following live insects:

      • Acanthoscelides obtectus Sag.

      • Bruchus affinis Froel.

      • Bruchus atomarius L.

      • Bruchus pisorum L.

      • Bruchus rufimanus Boh.

    2. (ii)

      seed shall not be contaminated by live Acarina.

  3. (c)

    F3Other standards or conditions applicable where reference is made to them in the table under point (a):

    In the case of varieties of Zea mays (Sweet corn – super-sweet types) the required minimum germination capacity is reduced to 80 % of pure seed. The official label or the supplier’s label, where appropriate, shall include the words Minimum germination capacity 80 %.
