Article 17U.K.Transitional measures
Transitional measures may be laid down in accordance with the procedure referred to in Article 14(2).
Article 18U.K.Transposal into national law
1.Member States shall bring into force the laws, regulations, and administrative provisions necessary to comply with this Directive before(1). They shall forthwith inform the Commission thereof.
When Member States adopt these measures, they shall contain a reference to this Directive or shall be accompanied by such reference on the occasion of their official publication. The methods of making such reference shall be laid down by Member States.
2.Member States shall communicate to the Commission the text of the provisions of national law which they adopt in the field covered by this Directive, together with a table showing how the provisions of this Directive correspond to the national provisions adopted.
Article 19U.K.Repeal of Directive 72/462/EEC
Directive 72/462/EEC shall be repealed with effect from the date of application of Regulation(2).
Article 20U.K.
Implementing rules established under Decisions adopted for the import of live animals, meat and meat products under Directive 72/462/EEC, as listed in Annex V to this Directive, shall remain in force until replaced by measures adopted under the new regulatory framework.
Article 21U.K.Entry into force and applicability
This Directive shall enter into force on the twentieth day following that of its publication in the OJ of the European Union.
Article 22U.K.
This Directive is addressed to the Member States.
18 months after the date of entry into force of this Directive.
