1.The manufacturer or supplier ensures that:U.K.

(a)

Each high-activity sealed source is identified by a unique number. This number shall be engraved or stamped on the source, where practicable.

The number shall also be engraved or stamped on the source container. If this is not feasible, or in the case of reusable transport containers, the source container shall, at least, bear information on the nature of the source.

(b)

The source container and, where practicable, the source are marked and labelled with an appropriate sign to warn people of the radiation hazard.
