Article 416

The railway company which accepts the goods for transport accompanied by a consignment note CIM serving as a T1 or T2 declaration or document shall be the principal for such operation.

The railway company of the Member State through whose territory the goods enter the Community shall be the principal for operations in respect of goods accepted for transport by the railways of a third country.
