This Regulation shall enter into force twenty days after the date of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union.
It shall apply 18 months after the date on which all of the following acts have entered into force:
Regulation (EC) No .../2004(1);
Regulation (EC) No .../2004(2) and
Directive 2004/.../EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of repealing certain Directives concerning food hygiene and health conditions for the production and placing on the market of certain products of animal origin intended for human consumption(3).
However, it shall apply no earlier than 1 January 2006.
