Article 69U.K.Reports on imports, exports and re-exports

1.[F1The Secretary of State] shall collect data on imports into and exports and re-exports from [F2Great Britain] that have taken place on the basis of permits and certificates issued by [F3the management authority] F4....

[F5The Secretary of State] shall, in compliance with [F6Article 15(4)(b)] of Regulation (EC) No 338/97, [F7publish] that information F8... in accordance with the Guidelines for the preparation and submission of CITES annual reports issued by the Secretariat of the Convention.

The reports shall include information on seized and confiscated shipments.

2.The information referred to in paragraph 1 shall be presented in two separate parts, as follows:

(a)a part on imports, exports and re-exports of specimens of species listed in the Appendices to the Convention;

(b)a part on imports, exports and re-exports of specimens of other species listed in Annexes A, B and C to Regulation (EC) No 338/97 and on the introduction into [F9Great Britain] of specimens of species listed in Annex D thereto.

3.With regard to imports of shipments containing live animals, [F10the Secretary of State] shall, where possible, maintain records of the percentage of specimens of species listed in Annexes A and B to Regulation (EC) No 338/97 which were dead at the time of introduction into [F10Great Britain].

[F114.The Secretary of State shall publish the information referred to in paragraphs 1, 2 and 3 when reporting that information under the Convention, to the Convention Secretariat.]

5.The information referred to in [F12Article 15(4)(d)] of Regulation (EC) No 338/97 shall include details on legislative, regulatory and administrative measures taken to implement and enforce the provisions of Regulation (EC) No 338/97 and of this Regulation.

In addition, [F13the Secretary of State] shall [F14publish a] report on the following aspects:

(a)persons and bodies registered in accordance with Articles 18 and 19 of this Regulation;

(b)scientific institutions registered in accordance with Article 60 of this Regulation;

(c)breeders approved in accordance with Article 63 of this Regulation;

(d)caviar (re-)packaging plants licensed in accordance with Article 66(7) of this Regulation;

(e)their use of phytosanitary certificates in accordance with Article 17 of this Regulation[F15;]

[F16(f)cases where export permits and re-export certificates were issued retrospectively in accordance with Article 15 of the Regulation.]

[F176.The Secretary of State shall publish the information referred to in paragraph 5 when reporting that information under the Convention to the Convention Secretariat.]
