of 6 March 2009

amending Annex VI to Council Regulation (EC) No 1234/2007 as regards the adjustment of the quotas for the 2009/2010 marketing year in the sugar sector (repealed)

THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES,

Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Community,

Having regard to Council Regulation (EC) No 1234/2007 of 22 October 2007 establishing a common organisation of agricultural markets and on specific provisions for certain agricultural products (Single CMO Regulation)(1), and in particular Article 59(1), in conjunction with Article 4 thereof,

Whereas:

(1) Annex VI to Regulation (EC) No 1234/2007 lays down the national and regional quotas for the production of sugar, isoglucose and inulin syrup. (2) The possible supplementary isoglucose quotas which might be allocated at a later date for the 2009/2010 marketing year upon requests by undertakings approved in Italy, Lithuania, and Sweden should be taken into account in the next adjustment of the quotas set out in Annex VI to Regulation (EC) No 1234/2007 before the end of February 2010.

(3) Annex VI to Regulation (EC) No 1234/2007 should therefore be amended accordingly.

(4) The measures provided for in this Regulation are in accordance with the opinion of the Management Committee for the Common Organisation of Agricultural Markets,
