Regulation (EC) No 80/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 14 January 2009 on a Code of Conduct for computerised reservation systems and repealing Council Regulation (EEC) No 2299/89 (Text with EEA relevance)

1.Regulation (EEC) No 2299/89 shall be repealed.
2.References to the repealed Regulation shall be construed as references to this Regulation and be read in accordance with the correlation table set out in Annex II.
1.The [F1CAA] shall, on a regular basis, monitor the application of this Regulation, if necessary with the assistance of specific audits as provided for in Article 14. It shall, in particular, examine the effectiveness of this Regulation in ensuring non-discrimination and fair competition in the market for CRS services.
2.The [F1CAA] shall, when appropriate, report to the [F2Secretary of State] on the application of Article 8 with regards to equivalent treatment in [F3other] countries and shall propose any appropriate measure in order to alleviate discriminatory conditions, including the conclusion or modification of bilateral air transport agreements between the [F4United Kingdom] and [F3other] countries.

This Regulation shall enter into force on 29 March 2009.
