Consignments shall not be split until all official controls have been completed, and the CED has been fully completed by the competent authorities as provided for in Article 9.

In the case of subsequent splitting of the consignment, an authenticated copy of the CED shall accompany each part of the consignment during its transport until it is released for free circulation.
