In addition to the definitions laid down in Articles 2 and 3 of Regulation (EC) No 178/2002 of the European Parliament and of the Council4 and Regulation (EU) 2015/2283, the following definition shall apply:

• ‘application’ means a stand-alone dossier containing the information and the scientific data submitted for the authorisation of a novel food pursuant to Article 10(1) of Regulation (EU) 2015/2283.
