The relevant provisions of Directives 91/496/EEC and 97/78/EC which govern matters referred to in Article 47(2), Article 48, points (b), (c) and (d) of Article 51(1), point (a) of Article 53(1), Article 54(1) and (3), and point (a) of Article 58 of this Regulation shall continue to apply instead of the corresponding provisions of this Regulation until 14 December 2022 or an earlier date to be determined in the delegated act adopted in accordance with paragraph 2 of this Article.

The Commission is empowered to adopt delegated acts in accordance with Article 144 to amend this Regulation concerning the date referred to in paragraph 1 of this Article. That date shall be the date of application of the corresponding rules to be established pursuant to the delegated or implementing acts provided for in Article 47(2), Article 48, points (b), (c) and (d) of Article 51(1), point (a) of Article 53(1), Article 54(1) and (3), and point (a) of Article 58.
