Regulation (EC) No 1099/2009 is amended as follows:

1. (1)

   In Article 2, point (q) is replaced by the following:

   1. ‘(q)
      “competent authorities” means competent authorities as defined in point (3) of Article 3 of Regulation X1(EU) 2017/625 of the European Parliament and of the Council68.’;

2. (2)

   Article 22 is deleted.
