CHAPTER II Transitional and final provisions

Article 163Amendments to Regulation (EU) No 652/2014

Regulation (EU) No 652/2014 is amended as follows:

  1. (1)

    Article 30(1) is replaced by the following:

    ‘1.

    To cover the costs they incur to implement the work programmes approved by the Commission, grants may be awarded to:

    (a)

    the European Union reference laboratories referred to in Article 93 of Regulation X1(EU) 2017/625 of the European Parliament and of the Council71 and to the European Union reference centres referred to in Article 29 of Regulation (EU) 2016/1012 of the European Parliament and of the Council72;

    (b)

    the European Union reference centres for animal welfare referred to in Article 95 of Regulation X1(EU) 2017/625;

    (c)

    the European Union reference centres for the authenticity and integrity of the agri-food chain referred to in Article 97 of Regulation X1(EU) 2017/625.’;

  2. (2)

    the following Article is inserted:

    ‘Article 30aAccreditation of national reference laboratories for plant health

    1.

    Grants may be awarded to the national reference laboratories referred to in Article 100 of Regulation X1(EU) 2017/625 for costs incurred for obtaining accreditation according to the standard EN ISO/IEC 17025 on “General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories” for the use of methods of laboratory analysis, test and diagnosis to verify compliance with the rules on protective measures against pests of plants.

    2.

    Grants may be awarded to a single national reference laboratory in each Member State for each European Union reference laboratory for plant health, up to three years after the designation of that European Union reference laboratory.’.
