Regulation (EU) 2019/787 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 17 April 2019 on the definition, description, presentation and labelling of spirit drinks, the use of the names of spirit drinks in the presentation and labelling of other foodstuffs, the protection of geographical indications for spirit drinks, the use of ethyl alcohol and distillates of agricultural origin in alcoholic beverages, and repealing Regulation (EC) No 110/2008 (c. 787)

CHAPTER III U.K. GEOGRAPHICAL INDICATIONS

Article 41 U.K. [F1 Power to make supplementary provisions by regulations]

1. The [F2 Secretary of State may make regulations] supplementing this Regulation by setting out further conditions to be followed, including in cases where a geographical area includes more than one country, in respect of:

(a) an application for the registration of a geographical indication as referred to in Articles 23 and 24; and

(b) F3 ... scrutiny by the [F4 Secretary of State], the opposition procedure, and the cancellation of geographical indications.

2. The [F5 Secretary of State may make regulations] supplementing this Regulation by establishing conditions and requirements for the procedure concerning [F6 non-standard] amendments and standard amendments, including temporary amendments, to product specifications as referred to in Article 31.
