ANNEX X SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS FOR ENTRY INTO THE UNION OF CERTAIN SPECIES AND CATEGORIES OF UNGULATES AS REGARDS INFECTION WITH BRUCELLA AS REFERRED TO IN ARTICLE 24(5)

1. OVINE ANIMALS

Uncastrated males of ovine animals, others than those intended for slaughter in the Union, must comply with the following requirements:

(a)

they have remained for a continuous period of at least 60 days in an establishment where infection with Brucella ovis (contagious epididymitis) has not been reported during the period of 12 months prior to the date of dispatch to the Union;

(b)

they have undergone a serological test for the detection of Brucella ovis (contagious epididymitis), with negative results, during the 30 days prior to the date of dispatch to the Union.

2. UNGULATES OF THE FAMILY TAYASSUIDAE

Ungulates of the family Tayassuidae must have undergone a test for the detection of Brucella suis using one of the diagnostic methods provided for in point 2 of Part 1 of Annex I of Delegated Regulation (EU) 2020/688, with negative results, during the period of 30 days prior to the date of dispatch to the Union.
