27. For regulation 34 (Costs and fees) substitute—
“Costs and fees
34.—(1) The costs incurred by the enforcement authority in taking the measures for which the operator is liable under Articles 66, 67 and 69 of Regulation 2017/625 are payable by the operator on the written demand of the enforcement authority.
(2) The costs of official controls and other activities as referred to in Article 80 of Regulation 2017/625 are payable by the operator on the written demand of the enforcement authority.”.

Explanatory Memorandum
Explanatory Memorandum sets out a brief statement of the purpose of a Statutory Rule and provides information about its policy objective and policy implications. They aim to make the Statutory Rule accessible to readers who are not legally qualified and accompany any Northern Ireland Statutory Rule or Draft Northern Ireland Statutory Rule laid before the UK Parliament during the suspension of the Northern Ireland Assembly.
