Appointed day

2.  The days appointed for the coming into force of the following provisions of the National Health Service Reform (Scotland) Act 2004 are:–

(a)1st September 2004, for:–

(i)section 1(1), but only for the purpose of providing in that Act that the National Health Service (Scotland) Act 1978(1) shall be referred to as “the 1978 Act”;

(ii)section 2, but only for the purpose of enabling the Scottish Ministers to make regulations under section 4B(6) of the 1978 Act;

(b)30th September 2004, for:–

(i)sections 1(2) and (3), 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7;

(ii)section 2, so far as it is not already in force;

(iii)section 11(1), so far as relating to schedule 1, paragraph 1(1), (2), (3) and (6); and

(iv)schedule 1, paragraph 1(1), (2), (3) and (6);

(c)1st January 2005, for section 9; and

(d)1st February 2005, for section 8.
