4.—(1) Paragraph (2) has effect until the date on which section 19 of the Road Safety Act 2006(1) comes into force in relation to Scotland.
(2) Paragraph 54 of schedule 7 to the Act (minor and consequential amendments) is to be read as if there were substituted for it—
“In section 87 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (exemption of fire, ambulance and police vehicles from speed limits), for “a relevant authority (as defined in section 6 of the Fire (Scotland) Act 2005 (asp 5))” substitute “the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service”.”
