2.—(1) The following provisions of Part 1 (socio-economic inequalities) of the Equality Act 2010(1) come into force on 1st April 2018—
(a)in section 1 (public sector duty regarding socio-economic inequalities), subsections (1) to (3) and (6);
(b)section 2 (power to amend section 1), so far as it confers a power on the Scottish Ministers; and
(c)section 3 (enforcement).
(2) For the avoidance of doubt, section 1(3) is commenced as originally enacted.
Sections 1 and 2 of the Equality Act 2010 are amended by section 38 of the Scotland Act 2016. Section 1 will also be relevantly amended by S.S.I. 2018/xxx. There are other amendments to section 1 that are not yet in force and not relevant to this Order.
