(1)This Act may be cited as the Criminal Justice (International Co-operation) Act 1990.
(2)This Act shall come into force on such day as may be appointed by the Secretary of State by an order made by statutory instrument and different days may be appointed for different provisions and different purposes and for different parts of the United Kingdom.
(3)This Act extends to Northern Ireland.
(4)Her Majesty may by Order in Council direct that the provisions of this Act [F1and those provisions of the Drug Trafficking Act 1994 which re-enact provisions of this Act] shall extend, with such exceptions and modifications as appear to Her Majesty to be appropriate, to any of the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man or any colony.
