1U.K.The repeals in section 4 of each of the Vehicles (Excise) Act 1971 ( “the 1971 Act) and the Vehicles (Excise) Act (Northern Ireland) 1972 ( “the 1972 Act) are deemed to have come into force on 20th March 1991.
2U.K.The repeals of section 7(4) of each of the 1971 Act and the 1972 Act come into force on 1st October 1991.
3U.K.The repeals of section 38(4) of, and Schedule 6 to, the 1971 Act, section 35(4) of, and Schedule 7 to, the 1972 Act and sections 5(6) and 6(7) of the Finance Act 1982, so far as relating to the application of those provisions for the purpose of section 4(1)(g) of either the 1971 Act or the 1972 Act, are deemed to have come into force on 20th March 1991.
4U.K.The repeal in Schedule 2 to the Finance Act 1985, and the repeals mentioned in note 3 above so far as relating to the application of the repealed provisions for the purpose of any provision of the 1971 Act or the 1972 Act other than section 4(1)(g), have effect in relation to licences taken out after 20th March 1991.
