(1)This Act may be cited as the Offshore Safety Act 1992.
(2)The enactments mentioned in Schedule 2 to this Act are hereby repealed to the extent specified in the third column of that Schedule.
(3)The following provisions of this Act, namely—
(a)section 2(3)(b) and (c);
(b)section 3(1)(a) and (e), (2) and (3)(b); and
(c)subsection (2) above so far as relating to the repeal in the M1Continental Shelf Act 1964 and the second repeal in the M2Gas Act 1986,
shall not come into force until such day as the Secretary of State may by order made by statutory instrument appoint, and different days may be appointed for different provisions or for different purposes.
(4)This Act, except section 6 above, does not extend to Northern Ireland.
