(1)The Secretary of State may make regulations as to the government, administration and conditions of service of police cadets.
[F1(1ZA)Regulations under this section may not make any provision which may be made under section 1 of the Public Service Pensions Act 2013 in relation to police cadets.]
[F2(1A)In relation to any matter as to which provision may be made by regulations under this section, the regulations may—
(a)authorise or require provision to be made by, or confer discretionary powers on, the Secretary of State, [F3local policing bodies], chief officers of police or other persons, or
(b)authorise or require the delegation by any person of functions conferred on that person by or under the regulations.]
(2)Subsections (5), (7) and (8) of section 50 shall apply to regulations under this section.
[F4(3)Before making regulations under this section relating to pensions the Secretary of State shall consult with the Police Advisory Board for England and Wales and shall also invite the views of the Northern Ireland Policing Board and the Police Association for Northern Ireland.]
