There are currently no known outstanding effects for the Finance Act 1996, Paragraph 57.
57(1)In each of subsections (4) and (6) of section 176 of the Gains Act (losses or gains on disposals where there have been depreciatory transactions to be reduced to such extent as appears to the inspector etc to be just and reasonable) for “appears to the inspector, or, on appeal, the Commissioners concerned, to be” there shall be substituted “ is ”.U.K.
(2)In subsection (5) of that section (footing on which decision under subsection (4) is to be made) for “The inspector or the Commissioners shall make the decision under subsection (4) above” there shall be substituted “ A reduction under subsection (4) above shall be made ”.
