Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000, Section 82 is up to date with all changes known to be in force on or before 08 March 2025. There are changes that may be brought into force at a future date. Changes that have been made appear in the content and are referenced with annotations.
(1)The enactments specified in Schedule 4 (amendments consequential on the provisions of this Act) shall have effect with the amendments set out in that Schedule.
(2)The enactments mentioned in Schedule 5 are hereby repealed to the extent specified in the third column of that Schedule.
(3)For the avoidance of doubt it is hereby declared that nothing in this Act F1. . .affects any power conferred on [F2a postal operator (within the meaning of [F3Part 3 of the Postal Services Act 2011])] by or under any enactment to open, detain or delay any postal packet or to deliver any such packet to a person other than the person to whom it is addressed.
