Issue of registration certificates

10.—(1) Every registration officer shall issue certificates of registration to aliens of whom particulars are entered in the local register kept by him.

(2) A certificate of registration shall be independent of, and shall not be included in, any other document except that such a certificate issued to an alien who is—

(a)a national of the state which is a member of the European Economic Community, and

(b)the holder of a current residence permit issued to him by the Secretary of State after the United Kingdom shall have become a member of that Community,

may take the form of an endorsement of that permit.

(3) An alien to whom a certificate of registration is issued shall pay to the registration officer concerned a fee of £0.25.
