Amendments relating to exhaust emissions

3.  In regulation 4, after paragraph (8) there shall be inserted the following paragraph—

“(8A) Where in relation to item 2 in Schedule 1, a date is specified in column (6) of that Schedule (being a date of cessation of application of type approval requirements), that date shall not apply to any vehicle for which, or for a model of which, there is a type approval certificate or (as the case may be) a Minister’s approval certificate in force at the time but, in relation to such a vehicle, column (6) shall be read and shall have effect as if there appeared in that column a date one year later than the date specified therein.”.
