Transitional Provision

7.[F1(1) Where, immediately before 1st September 1990, a student was entitled to housing benefit, income support or unemployment benefit, as the case may be, the Housing Benefit Regulations, the Income Support Regulations or the Unemployment Benefit Regulations, as the case may be, shall continue to apply to him as if the amendments made by regulation 4(2) to (6) and (9) to (11), 5(2) to (5) and (7) to (9) or 6 of these Regulations had not been made but only for the period ending immediately before the date on which he is due to start or is due to resume his course of study.

(2) In paragraph (1) the expression “student” has the same meaning as in the Housing Benefit Regulations, Income Support Regulations or Unemployment Benefit Regulations, as the case may be, as in force immediately before 1st September 1990.]
