Amendment of section 255B
3. Section 255B of the 1985 Act(1) is amended by the substitution, in subsection (2), of the words “holding company of a credit institution” for the words “parent company of a banking company”.

Section 255B was inserted into the 1985 Act (in place of that inserted by section 18 of the Companies Act 1989) by regulation 3 of the Companies Act 1985 (Bank Accounts) Regulations 1991 (S.I. 1991/2705). Section 255B(1) was amended by regulation 6 of the Companies Act 1985 (Disclosure of Branches and Bank Accounts) Regulations 1992 (S.I. 1992/3178).
