The repeal relating to section 223(2) was brought into force on 1st April 1996 by the Environment Act 1995 (Commencement No. 5) Order 1996 (S.I. 1996/186 (C.3)).

The repeal relating to section 105 was brought into force on 1st November 1995 by the Environment Act 1995 (Commencement No. 3) Order 1995 (S.I. 1995/2765 (C.56)).

The repeals in Schedule 24, with the exception of those relating to sections 33(1), 36(11) and (12), 39(12) and (13), 54, 61, 75(3), 88 and 143 and Schedule 8, were brought into force on 1st April 1996 by the Environment Act 1995 (Commencement No. 5) Order 1996 (S.I. 1996/186 (C.3).

The repeals in Schedule 24, with the exception of those relating to section 4(6), were brought into force on 1st April 1996 by the Environment Act 1995 (Commencement No. 5) Order 1996.

The repeals relating to sections 1 to 14, 16 to 19, 58, 105(1), 113(1), 114, 117, 121 to 124, 131, 132, 144, 146, 150 to 153, 187, 196, 202(5), 206(2), 209(1), (2) and (4), 213 to 215, 218, words in section 219(2), section 219(3), definitions in section 221(1) and Schedules 1, 3 and 4 were brought into force on 1st April 1996 by the Environment Act 1995 (Commencement No. 5) Order 1996.
