Citation, commencement and interpretation

1.—(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Social Security (Incapacity for Work and Miscellaneous Amendments) Regulations 1996 and shall come into force on 6th January 1997.

(2) In these Regulations—

“the Incapacity General Regulations” means the Social Security (Incapacity for Work) (General) Regulations 1995(1);

“the Incapacity Transitional Regulations” means the Social Security (Incapacity Benefit) (Transitional) Regulations 1995(2) and

“the Overlapping Benefits Regulations” means the Social Security (Overlapping Benefits) Regulations 1979(3).
