Provisions coming into force on 8th May 1998
2. The Plant Varieties Act 1997, other than sections 49, 53 and 54(1), shall come into force on 8th May 1998.

Sections 49, 53 and 54 of the Plant Varieties Act 1997 were brought into force on the day on which that Act was passed (27th November 1997) by virtue of section 54(2) of that Act.
