14. Any reference—
(a)in section 11 of the Public Health (Control of Disease) Act 1984(1) (which requires cases of notifiable diseases and food poisoning to be reported) to a registered medical practitioner, or
(b)in section 2 of the Public Health Act (Northern Ireland) 1967(2) (which specifies the duties of a medical practitioner on diagnosis of notifiable diseases) to a medical practitioner,
shall include a reference to a person who holds an appointment as a medical officer in the service of a visiting force or headquarters.
1984 c. 22; section 11 was amended by paragraph 108(1) and (3) of Schedule 1 to the Health Authorities Act 1995 (c. 17).
