Housing Benefit

19.—(1) As from a date determined in accordance with article 1 of this Order, the sums relevant to the calculation of an applicable amount as specified in the Housing Benefit Regulations shall be the sums set out in the following provisions of this article and Schedules 7 and 8 to this Order; and for this purpose references in this article to a numbered regulation or Schedule are, unless the context otherwise requires, references to a regulation of, or a Schedule to, the Housing Benefit Regulations bearing that number.

(2) In regulations 16(b), 17(c) and paragraph 14(a) of Part III of Schedule 2 (applicable amounts), the sum specified is in each case £3,000.

(3) In regulation 18(1)(1) (patients)–

(a) in sub-paragraphs (a), (b) and (d)(ii), for the sum of £16.70 there shall be substituted the sum of £16.90 in each case;

(b) in sub-paragraphs (c)(i) and (d)(i), for the sum of £13.35 there shall be substituted the sum of £13.50 in each case; and

(c) in sub-paragraph (c)(ii), for the sum of £33.40 there shall be substituted the sum of £33.80.

(4) In regulation 63(2) (non-dependant deductions)–

(a) in paragraph (1)(a) for the sum of £46.35 there shall be substituted the sum of £47.75;

(b) in paragraph (1)(b) for the sum of £7.20 there shall be substituted the sum of £7.40;

(c) in paragraph (2)(a) for the sum of £80.00 there shall be substituted the sum of £81.00;

(d) in paragraph (2)(b) for the sum of–

(i) £80.00 there shall be substituted the sum of £81.00,

(ii) £118.00 there shall be substituted the sum of £120.00, and

(iii) £16.50 there shall be substituted the sum of £17.00; and

(e) in paragraph (2)(c) for the sum of–

(i) £118.00 there shall be substituted the sum of £120.00,

(ii) £155.00 there shall be substituted the sum of £157.00, and

(iii) £22.65 there shall be substituted the sum of £23.35; and

(f) in paragraph (2)(d) for the sum of–

(i) £155.00 there shall be substituted the sum of £157.00,

(ii) £204.00 there shall be substituted the sum of £207.00, and

(iii) £37.10 there shall be substituted the sum of £38.20; and

(g) in paragraph (2)(e) for the sum of–

(i) £204.00 there shall be substituted the sum of £207.00,

(ii) £255.00 there shall be substituted the sum of £259.00, and

(iii) £42.25 there shall be substituted the sum of £43.50.

(5) In paragraph 1A of Part I of Schedule 1(3) (ineligible service charges), for the sums of £18.35, £18.35, £9.25, £12.20, £12.20, £6.15 and £2.20 there shall be substituted the sums of £18.65, £18.65, £9.40, £12.40, £12.40, £6.25 and £2.25 respectively.

(6) The sums specified in Part I of Schedule 2 (applicable amounts: personal allowances) shall be as set out in Schedule 7 to this Order.

(7) In paragraph 3 of Part II of Schedule 2(4) (applicable amounts: family premium)–

(a) in sub-paragraph (a) for the sum of £22.05 there shall be substituted the sum of £22.20; and

(b) in sub-paragraph (b) for the sum of £13.90 there shall be substituted the sum of £14.25.

(8) The sums specified in Part IV of Schedule 2 (applicable amounts: premiums) shall be as set out in Schedule 8 to this Order.
