Use of statements—information requirements

5.  Notwithstanding any repeal, section 44(5) to (5B) of the Insurance Companies Act(1) and section 39(12) to (12B) of the Banking Act(2) continue to have effect on and after commencement, in relation to any statement made before commencement, as if—

(a) the reference in section 44(5B) of the Insurance Companies Act to section 71(1)(b), (3) or (4) of that Act; and

(b) the reference in section 39(12B) of the Banking Act to section 94(1)(a) of that Act,

included a reference to sections 177(4) and 398 of the Act.
