2. The following provisions of the Criminal Justice and Police Act 2001 shall come into force on 1st January 2003—
(a)section 78(1), (3), (4), (5), (6), (8) and (9) (taking fingerprints);
(b)section 80(3), (5) and (6) (samples);
(c)section 137 (repeals) in so far as it relates to the entry Criminal Justice Act 1948(1) in Schedule 7, Part 2; and
(d)the entry Criminal Justice Act 1948 in Schedule 7, Part 2.
