Commencement of provisions

6.  Section 12 of, and Schedule 2 to, the 2004 Act (repeals) shall come into force—

(a)so far as they relate to the repeal of provisions of—

(i)the Social Security Contributions and Benefits Act 1992(1);

(ii)the Social Security Contributions and Benefits (Northern Ireland) Act 1992(2);

(iii)the Social Security Contributions (Transfer of Functions, etc.) Act 1999(3), except the provisions of Schedule 5 to that Act;

(iv)the Welfare Reform and Pensions Act 1999(4);

on 1st September 2004;

(b)so far as they relate to the repeal of provisions of—

(i)the Taxes Management Act 1970(5);

(ii)the Social Security Administration Act 1992(6);

(iii)the Social Security Administration (Northern Ireland) Act 1992(7);

(iv)Schedule 5 to the Social Security Contributions (Transfer of Functions, etc.) Act 1999;

(v)the Child Support Pensions and Social Security Act 2000(8);

(vi)the Child Support, Pensions and Social Security Act (Northern Ireland)2000(9);

on 6thApril 2005;

(c)so far as they relate to the revocation of provisions of—

(i)the Social Security (Northern Ireland) Order 1998(10);

(ii)Schedule 3 and paragraph 8 of Schedule 4 to the Social Security Contributions (Transfer of Functions, etc.) (Northern Ireland) Order 1999(11);

on 1st September 2004;

(d)so far as they relate to the revocation of provisions of paragraphs 1 and 3 of Schedule 4 to the Social Security Contributions (Transfer of Functions, etc.) (Northern Ireland) Order 1999, on 6th April 2005.
