9.—(1) Section 62(1), (2) and (4) of the School Standards and Framework Act 1998(1) (LEA’s reserve power to prevent a breakdown of discipline) applies in relation to a unit as it applies in relation to a maintained school with the following modifications.
(2) Subsection (2)(b) has effect as if for “the governing body” there were substituted “the management committee”.
(3) Subsection (4) has effect as if for “the governing body” there were substituted “the management committee”.
