Access to election documents after Greater London Authority elections
3. The day appointed for the coming into force in England and Wales of sections 42 to 44 of the Act for the purposes of Authority elections (as defined by section 203(1) of the Representation of the People Act 1983(1)), is 1st January 2008.

1983 c.2. The definition of “local government election” in section 203(1) was amended, and the definition of “Authority election” in section 203(1) was inserted, by the Greater London Authority Act 1999 (c.29).
