2.—(1) Subject to paragraph (2), these rules shall come into force on 10 November 2008.
(2) Paragraph 40 of Schedule 1 (new rule 111) shall come into force on the day that section 869 of the Companies Act 2006(1) comes into force.

Explanatory Memorandum
Explanatory Memorandum sets out a brief statement of the purpose of a Statutory Instrument and provides information about its policy objective and policy implications. They aim to make the Statutory Instrument accessible to readers who are not legally qualified and accompany any Statutory Instrument or Draft Statutory Instrument laid before Parliament from June 2004 onwards.
