57.  In section 2B (variation of orders and settlements) after subsection (7) insert—U.K.

(8) In the application of this section to Northern Ireland—

(a)a reference to the Lord Chancellor shall be taken as a reference to the Department of Justice in Northern Ireland;

(b)in subsection (6)(a) for “statutory instrument” substitute “statutory rule for the purposes of the Statutory Rules (Northern Ireland) Order 1979(1)”;

(c)in subsection (6)(c) for “each House of Parliament” substitute “the Northern Ireland Assembly”;

(d)section 41(3) of the Interpretation Act (Northern Ireland) 1954(2) applies for the purposes of subsection (6)(c) in relation to the laying of a draft as it applies in relation to the laying of a statutory document under an enactment.
