57.  In section 2B (variation of orders and settlements) after subsection (7) insert— U.K.

“(8) In the application of this section to Northern Ireland—

(a) a reference to the Lord Chancellor shall be taken as a reference to the Department of Justice in Northern Ireland;

(b) in subsection (6)(a) for “statutory instrument” substitute “statutory rule for the purposes of the Statutory Rules (Northern Ireland) Order 1979(1)”;

(c) in subsection (6)(c) for “each House of Parliament” substitute “the Northern Ireland Assembly”;

(d) section 41(3) of the Interpretation Act (Northern Ireland) 1954(2) applies for the purposes of subsection (6)(c) in relation to the laying of a draft as it applies in relation to the laying of a statutory document under an enactment.”
