12. In regulation 1(2) (interpretation)(1) of the Occupational Pension Schemes (Indexation) Regulations 1996—
(a)at the appropriate place insert the following definitions—
““abolition date” means the day appointed for the commencement of section 15(1) of the Pensions Act 2007(2);”
““protected rights” has the meaning given in section 10 of the Pension Schemes Act 1993(3), as it had effect immediately prior to the abolition date;”
(b)in the definition of “section 9(2B) rights”, in sub-paragraph (b)(ii), at the end add “where that transfer payment was made before the abolition date”.
