There are currently no known outstanding effects for the The Volatile Organic Compounds in Paints, Varnishes and Vehicle Refinishing Products Regulations 2012, Section 3.
3.—(1) Subject to paragraphs (2) and (3), these Regulations apply to the paints, varnishes and vehicle refinishing products as defined in Schedule 1 (“relevant products”).
[F1(2) These Regulations apply to relevant products that—
(a)are to be used in any part of the United Kingdom, and
(b)in Northern Ireland are to be used in a country or territory in the customs territory of the European Union.]
(3) These Regulations do not apply to products which are sold for exclusive use in an [F2a solvent emission activity] .
(4) In this regulation—
“[F3solvent emission activity]” means any activity falling within—
[F4Schedule 14 to the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2016;]
[F5Part 1 of Schedule 2 (solvent emission activities) to the Pollution Prevention and Control (Scotland) Regulations 2012 if it is operated above the solvent consumption threshold specified for that activity as set out in that Part; and]
section 7 of Part 1 of Schedule 1 to the Pollution Prevention and Control Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2003(1).
