Amendments to the 2012 Regulations

33.—(1) In Schedule 8 (application, with modification, of other Acts and subordinate legislation in respect of business referendums)(1), in table 1 (Representation of the People Act 1983), in the entry for section 49 (effect of registers)—

(a) in the first column, omit “, and (6)”, and

(b) in the second column, omit “In subsection (6) for sub-paragraphs (a) and (b) substitute “the date of the business referendum.””

(2) In that table, in the entry for section 54 (payment of expenses of registration)(2), in the second column, after “under the 1983 Act” insert “or the Electoral Registration and Administration Act 2013”.

Section 54 was amended by paragraph 14 of Schedule 4 to the Representation of the People Act 1985 and by paragraphs 1 and 17 of Schedule 4 to the Electoral Registration and Administration Act 2013.
