2.—(1) The following provisions of the Enterprise and Regulatory Reform Act 2013 (so far as not already brought into force) come into force on 1st April 2014—

(a)in Part 3 (the Competition and Markets Authority)—

  • section 25(3) (the Competition and Markets Authority: duty to promote competition);

  • section 26 (abolition of the Competition Commission and the OFT);

(b)in Part 4 (competition reform)—

  • sections 29 to 51 (mergers, markets, anti-trust, cartels, etc.);

  • sections 54 to 58 (miscellaneous);

(c)Schedule 4 (the Competition and Markets Authority);

(d)Schedules 5 to 13 (amendments relating to Part 3, Part 4, etc.);

(e)paragraphs 1 to 19 and 23 to 29 of Schedule 14 (regulators: use of powers under the 1998 Act); and

(f)Schedule 15 (minor and consequential amendments: Part 4).

(2) The Schedule contains transitional provisions and savings relating to the provisions brought into force by paragraph (1).
