5.—(1) The Postal Services Act 2011 is amended as follows.
(2) In section 17 (transfer of qualifying accrued rights to new public scheme), in subsections (1), (2) and (8) (in both places), before “Secretary of State” insert “Minister for the Civil Service or the”.
(3) In section 20 (protection against adverse treatment)—
(a)in subsection (1)—
(i)omit “the exercise by the Secretary of State of”;
(ii)at the beginning of paragraph (a) insert “the exercise by the Minister for the Civil Service or the Secretary of State of”;
(iii)at the beginning of paragraph (b) insert “the exercise by the Secretary of State of”;
(b)in subsections (2) and (4), for “Secretary of State” substitute “Minister making the order”;
(c)in subsection (6), before “Secretary of State” insert “Minister for the Civil Service or the”.
(4) In section 21 (transfer of assets of the RMPP), in subsection (1)(a) and (c), before “Secretary of State” insert “Minister for the Civil Service or the”.
(5) In section 24 (information)—
(a)in subsection (1) (in both places), before “Secretary of State” insert “Minister for the Civil Service or the”;
(b)in subsection (3), before paragraph (a) insert—
“(za)the Minister for the Civil Service,”.
(6) In section 25 (orders and regulations), in subsections (1), (2) and (5) before “Secretary of State” insert “Minister for the Civil Service or the”.
(7) In section 26(1) (interpretation of Part 2), for the definition of “prescribed” substitute—
““prescribed” means—
(a)in section 22(3), specified in, or determined in accordance with, an order made by the Secretary of State;
(b)elsewhere in this Part, specified in, or determined in accordance with, an order made by the Minister for the Civil Service or the Secretary of State,”.
(8) In section 89(1) (orders and regulations made by Ministers of the Crown), after “Secretary of State,” insert “the Minister for the Civil Service,”.
(9) In section 91(3) (minor and consequential amendments), before “Secretary of State” insert “Minister for the Civil Service, the”.
