Amendment of the Community Radio Order 2004

8. In paragraph 10A(1) (which modifies the Communications Act 2003 as it has effect in relation to a community radio service by adding section 253A)—
(a)in subsection (1) of that added section, for “one extension” substitute “two extensions”; and
(b)in subsection (2) of that added section for “the end of the period” to the end of the sentence, substitute “the date the relevant licence would otherwise expire”.

Explanatory Memorandum sets out a brief statement of the purpose of a Statutory Instrument and provides information about its policy objective and policy implications.
