26.—(1) The Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984 (Department of Trade and Industry Investigations) Order 2002 is amended as follows.
(2) In article 2 (definitions)(1)—
(a)for “BIS investigator” in each place substitute “BEIS investigator”,
(b)for “the Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills” substitute “the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy”, and
(c)for “BIS investigation” substitute “BEIS investigation”.
(3) In article 3(1)(b) and in the heading to article 3 (application of certain provisions of 1984 Act to investigations)(2), for “BIS investigations” in each place substitute “BEIS investigations”.
(4) In article 4 (modifications)(3)—
(a)for “BIS investigator” in each place substitute “BEIS investigator”, and
(b)in paragraph (5)(b), (c) and (d), for “the Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills” substitute “the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy”.
Article 2 was amended by S.I. 2007/3224, Sch. and by S.I. 2009/2748, Sch. Other amendments have been made to article 2 which are not relevant to this Order.
