3. The functions of the Secretary of State under sections 3 and 4 of the Parliamentary Constituencies Act 1986(1) are to cease to be exercisable concurrently with the Leader of the House of Commons and are instead to be exercisable concurrently with the Minister for the Cabinet Office.
1986 c. 56. Section 3 was amended by section 2 of the Boundary Commissions Act 1992 (c. 55), section 10 of the Parliamentary Voting System and Constituencies Act 2011 (c. 1), section 6 of the Electoral Registration and Administration Act 2013 (c. 6) and S.I. 2016/997, Sch. 2. Section 4 was amended by section 10 of the Parliamentary Voting System and Constituencies Act 2011 (c. 1), paragraph 17 of the Schedule to the Fixed-term Parliaments Act 2011 (c. 14) and S.I. 2016/997, Sch. 2. There are other amendments to the 1986 Act not relevant to this Order.
